Strathmore Law School, Zumaridi Room Roth will draw on examples of Human Rights Watchs work around the world addressing counterterrorism operations that run afoul of human rights, including the CIAs torture, indiscriminate attacks in the Middle East, and other threats to civil society and the media. He will highlight what East Africa should learn from Americas and others failures. Kenneth Roth has investigated human rights abuses around the globe, focusing on justice and accountability, military conduct in war, the human rights policies of the United States and the United Nations. He frequently writes for major newspapers and magazines and holds meetings with senior officials of governments and agencies around the world.
