Definition
1. Knight- a soldier in the past who had a high social rank and who fought while
riding a horse and usually wearing armor
She is still waiting for her knight in shining armor.
2. Brave- feeling or showing no fear: not afraid
He was a brave soldier.
3. Deeds- something that is done: an act or action
They taught their children to be kind and to do good deeds.
4. Court- the residence or establishment of a sovereign or similar dignitary
Choose for me a little boy who may live in my court.
5. Journey- an act of travelling from one place to another
She was the first woman to journey into space.
6. Clever- intelligent and able to learn things quickly
A clever student figured out a trick to do the assignment faster.
7. Fawn to try to get the approval of an important or powerful person by giving
that person praise, special attention, etc.
The waiters were fawning over the celebrity.
8. Fret- an agitation of mind: irritation
The child frets over his broken toy.
9. Scarcely almost not at all
I scarcely think that one person being sick is an epidemic.
10.Comrades- a close friend you have worked with, been in the military with, etc.
We expect to be comrades for the rest of our lives.
