INTRODUCTION
Research Questions (if research questions are not specifically mentioned, what is the
theoretical background or overarching theme):
We are increasingly surrounded by technology in these days and especially in educational
field, it plays a crucial role for students, teachers, and administration as well. IPad is just
part of this event but it is a big one. Using the iPad in classroom and educational field is
essential for educators. In this case, administration is extremely important for
implementation process. Research suggested that using iPad in classrooms and having
training about it are also essential for our future. In this study, the answers are looking
for.
Purpose of the research:
is to answer these questions below:
How does the training process affect school administrators` use of iPad for their
administrative tasks and personal follow up items in their educational institutions or
organizations? What does this process influence administrations thoughts on the
importance of usage of iPad in classroom?

METHODOLOGY

What is the methodology for the research or approach used to understand the issue?
Provide information regarding the following:
Participants:
Participants were elementary and secondary school administrators working at the charter
schools which are one of the largest schools in a southwestern state.
Procedures:
The school system was selected for this study and iPad was provided for each
administrator to use them in their managerial works. Being employed in this school
system to participate in this study and having a iPad that provided by this school were
required. 51 of subjects were selected from the target population and they are included in
the survey to find out how importance of using iPad for educational purposes.
Participants were contacted by email.
Data Collection Methods/Data Source:
Participants are asked to answer the questions in the surveys. A pre-survey, a training
session on the effective use of iPads for administrative tasks, and personal organization
are the main data sources to collect data from applicants. This study was conducted
February through May 2013 for 4 months. The researchers developed two survey
instruments by using school survey submission system at the university. First one was the
pre-survey, which was administered at the beginning of the spring semester 2013, second
one was the post survey, which was given to the participants at the end of the four months
to collect the data.
Data Analysis:
There were five main groups in this study to analyze:
1. Analysis of demographic and contextual data;
2. Impacts of the training process on school administrators use of iPad and iPad
applications;
3. Impacts of the training process on school administrators beliefs regarding how
teachers should use iPads in the classroom;
4. Differences in participants responses by their demographic and contextual data
(gender, age, years of experience in school administration and education, highest
degree attained, school classification, and school size); and
5. Evaluation of training process.

RESULTS
Findings or Results (or main points of the article):
In this study, all participants had an iPad and majority of them received it from their
organizations. Almost half of them reported that they are suing the iPhone iOS; however,
40% of them were using Android as their mobile platform. According to results of this
study, a majority of school administrators reported that they use specific iPhone
application for their work-related purposes. This study showed that Eduphoria was the
most commonly used application.
Before this study, 68% of the school administrators rated their iPad skills and knowledge
as intermediate to advance. After this training session, their skills and knowledge
increased and 80% of them reported their skills and knowledge as intermediate to
advance. These results state that this training process had a positive impact on the
development of iPad skills and knowledge of the school administration. According to
result of this study, school administrators believed that iPad is effective tool for
administrative tasks and personal organization.
My DISCUSSIONS
Conclusions/Implications (for your profession):
I believe that these kinds of technological devices or tools can be beneficial for education
because they make our lives easier and we can use them to solve many problems in our
education field. IPad is just one of them. For my profession, it is essential and plays a
important role on my follow up system. Especially I am using my iPhone 6 Plus for
education purposes. I follow up my agenda items through my iPhone and it makes my
system easier to follow. Also, applications are amazing to find some solutions for some
issues that I faced during my mentoring program. For example, I needed to track my
volunteer mentors in this program that I am running voluntarily and I searched for it.
Finally, I found one that I need then I am using it now. It is that I have been looking for
months. Through this application, I am able to track all activities that the mentors do so
that I can track easily their performances.
REFLECTIONS
Students Reflections (changes to your understanding; implications for your
school/work):
This article made me believe that I need to use more efficient technology in education
field from now on. Especially I noticed that I need to use these kinds of technological
tools in my personal and managerial works as well. Also, I was using these tools but my
team did not. I noticed that I need to provide them training about how to use them
efficiently. I already started to schedule to set up a training sessions for my volunteers.:)
