years.

Harmony Science Academy-BCS is a Kinder garden through eighth grade public school
located in Bryan, TX and HAS-BCS has over 400 students recently that our school
known for its focus on technology and excellent curricular offering that our web site is
www.hsabcs.org .HSABCS has goal to provide students achievement and school
environment:
Goal1; Start one to one deployment of Chrome book in grade 3 through 8 and school will
create Google account to login on the device and access their application to save
document.
Goal: The teacher will prepare lecture video record before lecturing and upload on the
school website to help to students watch video before come to school and students have
more time to solve more questions during class. In addition, continue deploying Chrome
Book in 2015-2016 and perhaps be in a position device for every student in 3 through 8

Students are using technology in the classroom to research, access educational
websites, and publish/create student work and 73% of respondents feel our
technology is current or exceeds current levels

According to this article: Use a tool such as the Learning and Technology
Framework to graphically depict the current practices and future goals of learning
and technology in the school or district, and to compare the effectiveness of the
available technology programs at promoting engaged learning. Identify indicators
of engaged learning that the school or district is currently using or needs to
incorporate in the classroom.

School administrator and teacher are visited other harmony campuses share their
ideas during PD staff meetings, district in-services, grade level meetings,
departmental meetings, and Professional Learning Communities, educators will

be provided opportunities for articulation regarding technology infusion to


support 21 st century skills, digital citizenship, and the facilitation of independent
student learning.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

1. What kind of technology is currently available for teachers?
Our school teachers are able to use
Laptop
Document Camera
Mimio pads
Smart board
iPad or Chrome Book
Projector
2. What type of hardware and software currently being used in classrooms at each
grade level and in each content area?
Harmony Science Academy-Bryan Computer Science department manager each grade
level computer connected to the active directory server and capacity of the server is 3 GB
RAM. And each teacher has access to school database to keep students personal
information, take attendance, and grading. Our school using those academic software:
Go Math Software for Math instruction
ALEKS
Reasoning Mind
Study Island
Reading Eggs(for ESL students)
Accelerated Reader
Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of
digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
1. Is technology currently available to all students?
Yes, Harmony Science Academy-BCS provide many technology tools for students
that each class able to use chrome book chart for using during lab. School set up
document camera, mimio pads, and projector for suing in class.
2. What replacement cycle has been built into the plan; and what funding is

needed to support the replacement policy?


HAS-BCS has policies in regarding to use and replacement that assign agreement
contract with students beginning of the school if anyone damage any school stuff
or devices need replace from who damage it. School make this contract because
school let the students take chrome book to home because every students has
chrome book to use and this situation bring big responsibilities to school
technology manager. So that reason why school make agreement contract with
students. Also school planning to use distance learning in this campus that let the
students take chrome book with them.

technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to the
LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the LEA's
budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding proposals or
partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1. What are technologies be used to create more powerful learning experiences to
improve student academic achievement?
Answer;
online access to all resources for teachers and students, both in school and at
home
the use of use classroom sets of iPads in kindergarten through second grade
classes and classroom sets of Chrome Books in third through fifth grade classes to
access leveled text for guided and independent reading
School assign chrome book to students STEM project or During science fair if
they need use chrome book
School provide Chrome book for all core subject and they will able to use during
lab class
School IT manage is update all school technology stuff beginning of the school
and make presentation how to use technology tool during PD
School buy new technology tool or app if school administrator believe this tool
will use and will increase students achievement.

information literacy skills?
Harmony Science Academy-BCS uses Learning.com curriculum as suggested by the
central office.

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the classroom.
1. What LEA board policies will be or have been developed to implement Internet
safety instruction?
HAS-BCS were buying protection program to make sure school internet system will be
free against attacks and monitor internet traffics( this program using for students and
teacher laptop and desktop).
2. How are students using online communication technologies, including but not
limited to social networking and instant messaging?
School give an email and database account each students that students will easy access to
check their information and grade also communication with school administrator and
teacher
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and


integration skills and needs for professional development.
1. How can administrators able to support teachers with the integration of
technology into the curriculum?
Absolutely HAS-BCS school administrations requested their teacher use
technology for the integration of technology into the curriculum and in class
during teaching also central office want to teacher to be more related with
technology stuff and using that stuff during lecture.

2. What do teachers and administrators consider as their needs for professional


development?
Most of the teacher and administrator require to give information to how use technology stuff and
teach them during professional development because future generation will use more technology
stuff and most of them did not know how use it. Also technology will increase students
achievement. All those are coming according to survey from administrator and teacher.

1. Why professional development necessary for learning technology tools.
During professional development teacher will trained from school IT manager or one of
the schools personal who know how to use technology tools.

2. How school district using students achievement data to support administrator and
techers?
School district has central office and this central office hire analysts and those people job
is need to collect data and analyze the data for how improve school, students, and teacher
achievement.

The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning resources,


technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to
support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.
1. What kind of technologies are available to facilitate home/school communication
such as email, web pages, and voice mail?
School use a few technology tool to reach students and parents :

Mail
Voice mail
E-mail
School newsletter
2. What technology access do parents have at home? What technologies do parents
prefer for home/school communication?
School has application for smart phone and most of the parent use this tool and other
parent receive mail and receive call from school administrator or their kids teacher.

Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking and


telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical support,
and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and administrators
to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional Development
components of the plan.
1. What emerging technologies could be used to implement the plans goal?
Continued distance learning (Skype, etc.) software training
Training to introduce teaching staff to online resources that support the new
curricular adoption.
Continued SMART Board training
2. Where will the technology be placed to effectively support the Curriculum and
Professional development components?
Formal setting professional development includes hands-on workshops for Middletowns

special education teachers. Upcoming PD for all special education teachers will be held
on Wednesday, March 12, 2016, and Wednesday, April 30, 2016.
Informal professional development occurs throughout the school year, and is provided to
the educational teams of students with disabilities who use assistive technology. PD is
typically provided in small-group or one-on-one settings at the students school. Any
Middletown educator may request assistive technology PD, either related to a specific
student or as a class-wide support
MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT
The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
1. How will the LEA know whether implementation of this plan has made a positive
impact on teaching and learning?
Students keyboarding skills will be evaluated to determine the impact of regular
keyboard instruction embedded in all elementary classes.
Lesson plans and formal and informal classroom observations and teacher feedback
will provide evidence of increased use of iPads, Chromebooks and Google Docs for
classwork, homework, presentations and collaborations
2. Describe the process to coordinate the individual evaluation component.
The Harmony Science Academy School District Central Office administrators meet
monthly to discuss all aspects of the district including technology, curriculum, personnel,
business, facilities, operations and student services. This allows for the development of
synergy between all district operations and allows for quick adjustment to district short
and long term plans. Decisions made at these meeting are disseminated to district
personnel via memorandums, email, and phone and in person conversations. The district
also holds monthly meetings with all district school administrators to discuss district
developments and direction.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including a
description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results to
tech plan stakeholders.
1. How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is responsible?
The Harmony Science Academy School District Central Office administrators are
responsible and they tell their campus administrator about their collect data result because
they collect data and summarize data for whole district.
How often will the status of plan implementation be reported to the LEA
superintendent and the stakeholders?
The district holds several meetings over the course of the year with technology

stakeholders from every school to discuss technology issues, plans, goals and desires.
This is a valuable tool in determining the technology direction of the district.
