MANILA To orientate the PNU faculty with the basic fundamentals and application
of research ethics, a Lecture-Orientation on Research Ethics on Academe with Dr.
Cristina Torres as its Guest Speaker, was held at the Bonifacio P. Sibayan Auditorium
on July 15
The Vice President for Research Planning and Quality Assurance, Dr. Wilma S. Reyes,
gave the Opening Remarks which was followed by the lecture proper of Dr. Torres
about Good Ethics Research and Ethics Review of Academic Research.
The program was ended by the dissemination of the BOR-approved PNU Code of
Ethics and Guidelines for Review of Research Projects.
Dr. Cristina Torres is a Social Science Professor and is currently the Forum for Ethical
Review Committee in the Asian and Western Pacific Region (FERCAP) Coordinator.
