Communication in the Marriage


Introduction: Communication is a system that has been there since the beginning of time. It is a
foundational principal for a relationship to develop, grow and mature, through verbal, nonverbal
and paraverbal communication.
A. Since we do not know the thoughts of our mates there has to be a vehicle that can
transports the thoughts of one another to each other.
1. Communication acts as the bridge that connects the lives of two persons,
making free access to the other persons heart and mind possible.

2. This lesson can be infused to other relationships. We now have guide through
examples that we can use that will strengthen our relationships.
Researches show that lack of communication or poor communication is the major reason that
leads to divorce. The coldness in the relationships due to no communication leads to divorce in
most of the cases. Lack of communication occurs when the married couples do not discuss their
problems with each other. Some feel that small problems are insignificant part of every marriage
and there is no need to discuss them. But over time these small insignificant problems take the
form of big issues responsible for getting the marriage on rocks. As there is a void of proper
communication, people are unable to solve a problem in its petite stage and one conflict leads to
another increasing the differences between the couple. The differences increase to the extent that
married couples seek divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.
B. A good thermostat is a detector that reads the level of temperature in the environment
which then communicates within the prescribed setting to initiate the response
mechanism needed based upon the atmosphere that has been created within the
environment of productivity.
