BycoPetroluemPakistan,sourcesclosetothedealtoldOPIS.
The135,000b/drefinerystoppedproductioninNovember2014,buthassincebeenusedasstorageterminal.

ItisbelievedtheMurcorefinery,whichwasupgradedin2010,willberebuiltnexttothe115,000b/dGulfOilMilfordHavenrefinery,
alsoboughtbyByco.TherefinerybeganoperationinPakistanin2012andisnowknownastheBaluchistanrefinery.
PumaEnergy,thejointventurebetweentradingcompanyTrafiguraandtheAngolancompanySonangol,boughttheMurcoRefineryin
MilfordHavenwiththedealconcludedonJune30.TheformerrefinerywillprobablybeknownasthePumaMilfordHavenTerminal.
ItisunderstoodthatthePumaU.K.headofficewillbeattheWesterleighinlandterminalsiteinGloucestershire.Thegeneralmanager
ofPumaU.K.,RoyBrooke,isaformercrudetrader,workingatElfandTexaco,beforejoiningPetroplusandthentheOilPipelines
Agency.
Thesalewillconverttherefineryintoastoragelocationwithacapacityof1.4millioncubicmeters.Italsoincludesthethreeinland
terminalsatWesterleigh,ThealeandBedworth,wherediesel,UKgradekeroseneandgasolinewillbedistributedtoinlandcustomers.
Sofar,2.7millionbblofcrudeoil,35,000tonsoffueloiland35,000tonsofkerosenehavebeendischargedandstoredattheterminal
fortheaccountofPuma.
However,itisconsideredthatmodificationswillhavetobemadeattheMurcoinstallation,suchasinstallinganautomaticshutdown
facilityonClass1tanks.AftertheBuncefieldoilfirein2005,theHealthandSafetyExecutivehasinsistedthatotherstorage
installationsinMilfordHavenhavesuchoperationsonbothClass1andClass2tanks.
MurcoPetroleumclosedtherefinerywhenthenegotiationstoselltherefinerytoKleschRefiningfellthroughlastyear.
