To learn and apply the scientific method when confronted with a problem. Students
will create a prezi presentation to detail the scientific method in a presentation
format.

Assessment Plan
(What will be done to determine if lesson objectives have been met?)

Students will complete a Prezi presentation to detailing the steps of the scientific
method. There will be a rubric created to facilitate the grading and expectations of
the assignment.

Materials:

Computer
Inclusion Techniques for Students with Special Needs:

Students with special needs will conduct the assignment in conjunction with their
IEP. Each special needs student will be partnered with another student to facilitate
this project.

Enrichment Techniques:

Students requiring enrichment will be partnered with students of special needs to further
facilitate their understanding of the assignment.

Lesson Differentiation (What modifications/accommodations will be made to ensure that ALL students
have access to and are able to participate in the lesson):

All students will have access to the computer lab as well as the instructor to facilitate the
use of Prezi in presenting information.
Lesson Presentation
Introduction/Motivational Activities/Anticipatory Set:

Students will be introduced to a new technology to aid them in presenting ideas.

Detailed Teaching Sequence:

• Introduce the material via powerpoint presentation

• Give details on the expectation of the Prezi assignment

o Students are to create an Prezi presentation to convey the steps of the
scientific method.

Guided Practice/Independent Practice/Assessment Activities

Students will be guided through the process of utilizing Prezi to create effective
presentations.
