I am pleased to present this letter of reference on behalf of Rebekah Skinner. Rebekah deserves consideration for any position for which she is qualified based on her work ethic, content knowledge, and willingness and ability to adjust to any situation. As high school principal for Pine River High School, I met Rebekah in December of the 2013-2014 school year when she was hired to serve as a long-term substitute for a world language teacher who was leaving for another position. Rebekah was to take over, just prior to the end of the semester, then make curriculum adjustments to accommodate a Middle/High school schedule she would be taking over. This included the need to create an elective middle school course in a few weeks time. Rebekah took on this task and performed beautifully in this very difficult situation, finishing the work of the previous teacher and quickly establishing herself as teacher-of-record following a very popular individual. Students respected Rebekah and staff appreciated her dedication. Rebekah displayed strong content knowledge and instructional skills in her time with the district. Her planning included alignment of curriculum, instruction and assessment. She took part in professional development with the district, ensuring a knowledge and application of district/building initiatives in her work. Rebekah sought staff expertise to build her repertoire of teaching skills. She modeled a competence rarely seen in a firsttime teacher. Had budget cuts not eliminated her position, Rebekah would still be a valued teacher with the district. Rebekah served Pine River Schools with a level of ability, dedication and professionalism that proved her value to the district. I know she will do so in any position/district for which she is hired. Based on my observation of Rebekah, I recommend her for any position for which she is qualified. Respectfully Submitted,
