ASWSUV Seventeenth Senate 2007-08 Session

AN ACT Amending By-law {Section 260.00 Sub-Section 260.02}

BE IT ENACTED BY THE ASWSUV SENATE:

Sec. 1. That section 260.02 reads as such: Bills shall be sponsored by two or more Senators, or by
the ASWSUV Vice President in conjunction with one or more Senators.
A. All senatorial legislation shall be turned into the Vice-President forty-eight (48) hours in advance of
the next Senate meeting in order for the legislation to be available for the meeting.
B. The Vice-President must approve senatorial legislation in cases of emergency to the Senate if it has
been submitted after the forty-eight (48) hour period.
C. Senate legislation shall be distributed to all Senators and relevant parties before the next
Senate meeting.

D. All individuals requesting funds from ASWSUV Senate must attend the Senate
meeting to speak on behalf of their funding request. The Senator that has chosen to
sponsor the bill is responsible for contacting the requestor of the funds so they may
send a representative to the meeting.

STATEMENT OF FACT:
This will give the senate an opportunity to have their questions answered by the club or
individual that is making the request.
