The Cybercrime
We all know cybercrime is an unlawful activity and against our freedom. We can say that,
there are some good advantages in the term of protecting our freedom. The NSA has been using
the Prism program to track down the terrorists around the world, who oppose any freedom and
who use their bad behavior to intimidate people with their brain washing system. Cybercrime is
any use of computer or any devices that connect to the internet to unlawfully get someones
information or to get into someones financial system but cybercrime is not limited to those
activities; its also the use of social media to impersonate yourself to trick people. Even if you
dont use a computer, you might be a target. Basically everyone is a target. As I mentioned
earlier that bad thing can change the bad thing some time that mean NSA used unapproved
program to track down people and lot of people considered such activity bad. There is not any
other solution to stop the hacker than hacking them. As an immigrant and international student,
we came in this country to take advantage of those freedom but if this countrys network system
is constantly attacked by certain hackers, thats unacceptable. This country works hard and pays
its workers well and also this country invests very good money in education to help its workers
to develop the skills needed for the future generation. China and Russia, instead of developing
their education system, they develop a huge hacking system to steal what United States have
developed for decade. Basically cybercrime is not good at all.

Can anyone imagine how far weve come to turn back now and how far we still have to go in
terms of developing the digital world? We really dont know where all this started and where its
going to end up, but I believe that we have more work to do when it comes to protecting our
personal information, when using those digital devices. Technology has made the planet one
single village moreover one single room. Once the information is sent its received in one
fraction of a second in the other part of the world, so the world is a better place now because of
the technology but every great thing has certain consequences which is why were facing the
cybercrime today.
According to (Suciu, Peter.) the modern war is now between the most powerful nations in
the world, not the world I or II but the modern conflicts is now the mercenaries, the criminal
hackers who sell their intellectual goods to those nations and theyre willing to spend a huge
amount of money just for criminal activities. I condemn such activities around the world,
because certain scientists have worked very hard to provide a common sense to humanity. In
order to protect and value the product of those hard working people we must regulate the use of
those products. Generally the nations who develop a huge hacking network and recruit the
criminal hackers have not had any history of inventing something good for the humanity. I call
the attack another nations network system an hate crime because its only thing they can do to
hurt the United States and get away with it. They can steal our valuable secrets that United States
have kept for a very long time and get away. Actually there is no nation on Earth can attack the
United State without getting a consequences but the hackers can. From my personal experience,
I sent money to my family 3 months ago. When they went to pick up the money. They were told
that the money was not there, so I called the police and gave my case. After all the investigations
it appeared that someone had managed to get into the MoneyGram network system to steal the

money. After my personal research on company, I found out it was not only me but it actually
happened to other costumers too. Thats very scary.
According to (Los Angeles Times) people are still spying on America even though the
United States have the leading technology in the world. Some are jealous about the greatness of
the United States financial system. Of course every nation has right to invest on its own
education system but some fail to do that and turn themselves to the hacking system. According
to the same source, the Wall Street trading was under attack. The trading was halted for more
than three hours which was very costly for our economic system and for ordinary citizens who
work hard and put some money aside as 401k in order to have a better retirement. I suggest the
double network system in the United States so we can be better prepared for such attacks but that
solution can be very costly. Image how long it took for the nation to develop our current network
system?
The hackers sidelined the Wall Street Journals website and stopped the stock exchange. Thats
not good news for the trading network system in Unite States.
According to (Washington Post) two major breaches happened last year on U.S
government. The databases that hold more than 22.1 million of government workers were
compromised including but not limited to the government workers, and their family and friends.
What the hackers stole lot of thing including the following: personnel records and social security
numbers and more. Its not a crime to work for the government and those who work for the
government serve the nation. They should be the most protected against the cybercrime, and the
government is not doing enough to protect those ordinary citizens who bravely serve our nation.
The government has more resources on its hands and adequate knowledge to protect us. The U.S
should be concerned about the decline of the students majored in computer sciences. They

choose the easy path to finish early and start making money for a living. According to the same
source, the foreign spy can identify the U.S undercover or C.I.A agent working under diplomatic
cover in the U.S embassies around the world. Thats very scary, because anyone working under
such circumstances wouldnt like to be identified and be a target of our enemies.
From the beginning of this topic we have only talked about the behavior of the certain
nations and so called cyber warriors (cyber mercenary) and middle east ( cyber caliphates) with
all those names just to get into our network system. United States is the potential target of all
those hackers but there is some good news: According to (Sorcher, Sara) the challenging hackers
help the NSA to develop next generation of Cyberwarriors called CDX (Cyber Defense
Exercise). This unit is trained to develop and face any kind can of cyber-attack, I appreciate such
an approach to the issue that all of us face today. The NSA spying on ordinary people thats not
good thing but we all should know that were in digital world where everything is possible. The
NSA practice prevent so many terrorists around the world that we all should be proud of this
agency. Dont worry if you are not doing anything bad because no one will ever listening to your
boring conversation. The agency is just targeting the bad guys.
According to (Wall Street Journal) the security system failed to protect the Americans and
from that mistake, some agencies began to develop next generation of Einstein 3 which is still
under development, which will be good for our security. If we have the way to stop the
cybercrime, we should take advantage of it. We are now slaves of our own science because
everything is operate by the computer. If the Einstein 3 is fully operational that will the major
breakthrough in terms of protecting our nation. I am fully for any technology or operation that
can minimize the damage of Cybercrime for the ordinary people around the world.

According to USA TODAY the modern cars are the new smart phone because the car
industries have digitalized everything. The professional hackers were able take control of model
2014 Jeep. When they managed to hack its computer system and take control of all the operation
system. This activity is telling us how much danger were facing today. If something goes wrong
in your car someday, you might think its a hacker but not all cars can be hacked, its just those
cars with high tech on it and theyre fully operated by the computer and internet so you dont
have to worry if you are driving an old school car. According to the same source, the car
computer does not store much personal information but also there are some good news which is
the hackers have no interest hacking the automobile because they might not get any information
inside. The criminals primary purpose is money and valuable information such as bank
information and medical records.
My position on this topic is very interesting to me because. I have experience with it. Im one of
the victims and from this research I learned lot of things that I didnt knows before and from
those sources I learned how cybercrime is widespread around the world. When I heard the news I
was speechless about the greatness of such activity. The world should come together as one to
track down anyone using those practices.
Conclusion
The digital devices have changed the way we perceive the world, and they have made our
everyday life easier than before but every great thing come with a great consequences thats why
were facing an eminent cyber-attack every day in United State. Basically every business and
every person is a great target for hackers so protect yourself. The

United States should develop

the plan B network system for future generation. They should be specialize Unit for cybercrime
in the United Nation that can take care of all cases involving such activity and those Units should

Berete 6

be allowed in any country in the world. If one nation is responsible for the breach into another
nation network system, that nation should be fined regarding the law.
