Both Andy and Sasha were walking down the cobblestone path, to which was only lit by the
soft glow of the moon. They werent holding hands, but were very close to each other, so close, that
they both can see their eyes sparkle within the night.
So, uhh. Andys voice trailed off, as his eyes looked down the seemingly endless path.
Yeah We should go that way and Sashas voice trails off, too. But instead
of looking to
where Andy was looking (4)
, she instead looked towards him.
There was a long and uneasy silence as they try to
fathom
each others moves. Trying to see
where the other one may lead. Trying to see what may be in store.
Andys heart was beating out of his chest, but it wasnt hard to tell that Sasha was feeling the
same way. Her hands started to shake as she realized Andys hands were reaching out to hers. As
they touched, another moment of silence was observed, quietly, amongst themselves.
Both didnt know what to do. Both only knew that they both had a warm feeling inside. A
warm feeling just because the other one was with them. A warm and intense feeling that they cant
shake from the situation. All they could do was
comply
as their hands did all the talking. Both hands
reached out. Both hands touched. Both hands grasped each others, and it seemed that they would
never let go.
Sasha looked at her hand, then to Andys eyes. They had an air of a frightened child; of a child
to which has no idea of what to do next. She empathized. She had no idea what to do either.
Disobeying her hands, she lets go of Andys left hand and puts it onto his cheek.
Its okay Why do you look so nervous? she whispers.
I just- I was th-thinking stammers Andy.
Thinking about what?
Thinking about how beautiful you are.
There was that moment of awkward silence between the two.
No one has ever told me that before. Sasha finally says. I think youre the first.
How can that be? Andy asked with a slight air of disappointment.
What do you mean?
Andy stared at her, both in utter awe and in utter disbelief.
Its your eyes. He states. Your eyes are like a shining beacon to the lost souls that feel very
alone in a very lonely world.
Sasha just stared, but with tears almost streaming down her face.
He continues, Your hair is always where you want it to be and your smile brings joy to all who
see it.

Sasha stared back, still in amazement. She never knew that anybody held those kinds of
opinions about her. She always thought of herself as shy and introverted, keeping to herself at any
waking moment. She, in truth never felt safe, nor comfortable, with anyone. Anyone, until she met
Andy.
Andy, who worked his way into some place deep within her soul, deep inside her heart. She
could feel her face turn red with embarrassment. Andy must have
seen
(5), for immediately
afterwards, he turned red as well.
Again, the awkward silence took over again, and the temperature around them seemed to be
rising steadily. They gazed into each others eyes, and when they couldnt hold onto reality much
longer, they leaned in.
