There was excellent participation, 150, in the survey with no questionresponse-holes and only 3 of 33 questions with low participation (see
grayed numbers).
If there is another survey, the identity of USER or VOLUNTEER should be
established. It would appear that about 60 respondents saw themselves
as USERS.
The Survey Respondents by Age data is loaded to the above 51 years
old. This is the vested interested group, not only the USER group, but also
the time available VOLUNTEER group. Note at the bottom of the data
set that 144 of the 150 wanted to be further involved.
Assumptions in presenting results:
o If a % of Total was less than 20%, this item may be of questionable
interest and may require more investigation before offering it as a
service.
o If the number of Respondents to a question was less than 20, the
data may not represent a true reflection of the population (see grayed
numbers).
The questions were looked at as Personal or Social. The
Social questions were of high interest.
Rides to/from medical apts was of interest to USERS with 21%
responses. Also, for each person needing a ride, there were 1.7 rides
available.
Two more questions of interest to USERS, Small house or yard
chores. and Post illness. are for personal assistance and were low
on VOLUNTEERS with a ratio of 1.0 and 0.9. This needs more looking into
and may not be sustainable as a service. However, yard work was of high
interest.
Three Social questions, Neighborhood get togethers, Lectures,
Discussion Groups, and Trips. Also had a low ratio VOLUNTEERS
but may not be important to make the service viable in that one
VOLUNTEER may be able to provide service for more than one USER.
