Provide administrative, strategic direction and academic resource to AESS to plan, secure,
implement and deliver quality services and programs for Aboriginal Students at Mohawk
College and Sheridan College. Provide project management of Indigenous advocacy
initiatives including internal and external budgets development and reports. Coordinate and
execute special events. Communicate and liaise with partners, internal and external groups,
community members, staff, administrators, faculty and students on behalf of the
department.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Research and analyze Indigenous Education Practices and Policies in Canada to
create and facilitate the delivery of an Indigenous Education Plan for Mohawk College
and the Aboriginal Initiatives Office at Sheridan College.
Gather curriculum and resources, work with internal and external partners, and report
back on the effectiveness of current program delivery.
Outreach and liaise with Elementary, Secondary and PSE institutions to deliver
Indigenous Awareness presentations and discussions.
Identify, plan and execute the implementation of events, complex projects, services,
partnerships, and programs.
Oversee all operations of the AESS Centre including student employment, scheduling,
policies & procedures, maintenance and general use.
Process all Provincial, Federal Government and Internal reports for mid-year and
annual returns/submissions including the preparation of the financial and statistical

data to ensure AESS meets policies and expectations. Monitor actuals and expenses
to advise on the financial implications to the departmental wide budget plan.
Facilitate strategic planning sessions, formulate patterns, and collect/monitor data to
inform the strategic direction for AESS.
Native Women in the Arts, - Toronto, On

Associate Producer, 2005 - 2006


Planned, organized, secured and managed resources to bring about the successful
completion of project goals and objectives for Native Women in the arts. Managed a wide
range of marketing tools, including promotional materials, direct-mail pieces, and web site
