Thomas Kuhn new CEO of BizJet International

Tulsa, Oklahoma. July 13, 2015
BizJet International, a Lufthansa Technik subsidiary, announced Thomas Kuhn as the new President and
CEO of the company. Kuhn, former Director of Engineering Services VIP & Executive Jet Maintenance at
Lufthansa, began his duties at the end of June.
Kuhn is succeeding Manfred Gaertner, who announced his retirement from the BizJet team in late May.
Gaertner has led the BizJet management team since January 2013 and has been with Lufthansa since
1981. He expressed his gratitude in a speech to the company.
Its been an honor and a pleasure working with you all, Gaertner said. Im certain Thomas Kuhn will
lead BizJet International to a great future.
Kuhn has had a career with Lufthansa for 29 years. He started as an aircraft engineer apprentice and
worked his way up the company in the following years mainly in the maintenance business unit of
Lufthansa Technik.
In 2008 Thomas Kuhn became Sub-Division Manager Overhaul at Ameco Beijing, the Lufthansa Joint
Venture with Air China. In 2011 he took over his current function as Director Engineering Services in
Lufthansa Technik's VIP & Executive Jet Maintenance Business Unit in Hamburg, Germany.
