The Maritime Museum and Lighthouse

The Maritime Museum was built more than 20 years ago and was opened in 1991. The Museum has many interactive activities where you can learn about historic times. The Maritime Museum has 3 different levels, each of which is filled with exciting, interesting activities and information. The bottom level has been built to resemble cabin living areas through different times in history. Have a fun filled journey as you maneuver through the level, looking at food rations and tools they would have had. The ground level holds a humungous ship, which you can climb your way through. Have a look in the captains cabin or descend down into the cargo storage. Peer into tiny kitchens and stare at unique figureheads spread across the walls. The top level of the building holds lots of interactive activities which you and your friends and family will all enjoy. Once you have looked around the Museum, steer yourself down to the lighthouse. Wind up the stairs and gaze out of windows as you rise higher and higher. When you reach the top, take in the magnificent views of Port Adelaide. Port Adelaide has lots of entertaining educational exhibits, were shore youll have an amazing time.
