V. Classroom Rules:
It is important to follow all school rules!
1. Come to class every day that you are able.
2. Arrive on time with your own supplies and be ready to participate.
3. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
4. Follow directions the first time.
5. Stay on task during all work times.
VII. ASSIGNMENTS:
Assignments (daily or homework) will be given every class meeting. Some will be graded that day and
others will be graded according to Reagans Homework Guidelines. Assignments must be completed and
necessary work must be shown IN PENCIL or no credit will be given. It is expected that all assignments
will be done in a timely manner. Students should keep all work until the end of the semester. At that point,
students may choose to store their papers somewhere safe for further use or to recycle them. Late work
will be accepted in accordance with the NEISD grading regulations.
VIII. QUIZZES:
Quizzes can be given at any time during the class period. They may or may not be announced and
will cover material from previous assignments.
IX. TESTS:
Tests will be announced at least one week in advance and a test review will be given the day before every
test. Each test will cover material from sections that were previously taught. Three unit tests will be
given every 9 weeks. Students who earn a failing test grade may correct their test using the Test
Correction Form to raise their test grade to a maximum grade of a 70. All test corrections are due within
one week of the test being returned to the student.

graphing calculator given to me for use during my math class. If the calculator becomes
damaged while under my care or if the calculator is not returned to the teacher, I understand
that I am responsible for the replacement of the calculator. I understand that calculators
cannot be repaired and that the replacement cost of the calculator is $135. I also understand
that before I will be allowed to use a calculator in class I must return this contract to my
teacher. If I choose to use my own calculator in class, I understand I must use it in a way to
benefit my learning. If I do not make this choice, I understand that my games, programs,
and/or applications may be erased from my calculator.
I have read and understand the policies set forth on both sides of this handout.
