Verb Voice
Verbs in English sentences assume one of two
voices.
Active voice
Passive voice
Active Voice
The verb is in the active voice when the subject is
performing the action expressed by the verb.
Passive Voice
A verb is in the passive voice when the subject of
the sentence is acted on by the verb. The passive
voice is always constructed from a form of to be
plus the past participle of the substantive verb (often
an -ed verb).
Ex: I am loved.
