On behalf of the Student Bar Association (SBA) we would like to congratulate you on your choice to pursue your legal education at Suffolk University Law School. Your time here will be challenging, fulfilling and rewarding. Your career as a lawyer begins today and Suffolk has the faculty, staff, and resources to help you build an incredible foundation for your future! The student body at Suffolk Law is composed of talented, hardworking individuals all with the common goal of having the best educational experience possible. Part of having a meaningful experience is by being an active member of this great community. Suffolk is one of the largest law schools in the country and has students with a wide range of interests and hobbies. There are over fifty student organizations ranging from legal practice area groups to sports teams and recreational clubs. These organizations offer wonderful opportunities for you to get involved and I strongly encourage you to take advantage of them. Although you are now a law student, you should continue to enjoy and be a part of the things that make you who you are! As for me, my name is Kelley Sweetser and I am the President of the SBA. The SBA is the governing body for the law school and is made up of representatives from each section as well as student leaders who serve as committee directors that provide us with a multitude of activities and programming to enhance our time here. The SBA also functions as a liaison between the students and the law school administration to make sure that student concerns are effectively communicated to the school. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, or you are simply looking for ways to get involved with our law school, please feel free to contact me at ksweetser@suffolk.edu or SBA Vice President, Brendan Murphy, at bmurphy2@suffolk.edu. We wish you the best of luck and are looking forward to a great year together! Kelley Sweetser President Student Bar Association
