Basic Anatomy (806-189)OVERVIEW:

Anatomy and physiology is the foundation for a number of health related
occupations. In order to understand what occurs during disease, the basic concepts
of normal anatomy and physiology must be realized. Understanding the anatomy of
an organ or tissue is critical to understanding the physiology of that organ or tissue.
COMPETENCY:

Explain concept of homeostasis as it relates to anatomy and physiology.

Relate body structures to body systems and functions.
Relate anatomical terminology to body regions, body and organ planes, and body
cavities.
