Course Description:
This course provides an overview of common software
application tools as well as an introduction to file management
principles and practices. Students will develop basic operational
proficiency while using the MS Office Suite of applications (MS Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint) to create and share a variety of documents
used to perform tasks and fulfill employment responsibilities found in
the workplace. Students will apply appropriate file naming conventions
and organizational structures to efficiently manage file storage on local
computers and shared networks.

Course Alignment:
This course is aligned with the Michigan Department of
Educations (MDE) content expectations for Business Management and
Administration (BMA). Students who complete 2 semesters of study in

C=79-70%, D=69-60%,
E=59% or lower.
Homework/Makeup:
After school lab time may be required if a student falls behind
schedule. An instructor will need to be present at all scheduled after
school labs.
