Teaching Strategies:
The lesson will start with me reading The Apple Tree students will identify all the e,ee and ea
words in the book. I will then explain the 4 guided reading tasks to the students one group will be
reading with me, the matching the rhyming words, one group reading to themselves and the other
group doing the worksheets. All the three groups will be in different areas of the room so they cant
distract one another. Difficulties that need to be anticipated is that the room may become too noisy
so I may have to stop the students to quiten them down and award and take away dojo points. The
lesson will conclude with the groups packing up before they eat their snack

Resources, Materials and Organisation:

The Apple Tree book, guided reading books, ee and ea worksheets, and rhyming word worksheet.
Assessment:
Will be able to observe and see how the guided reading group is going as well as see how well the
students go in picking out the ee and ea words in the book. Will be able to see how well the rhyming
group went by seeing how many words they wrote in their book and how well the worksheet group went
by the work they produce.
