ABSTRACT

The study was conducted to assess the scenarios that one individual
fourth year Institute of Computing student is vulnerable to several menace in the
cyberworld, forms of cyber threats that are nimble to encounter in the cyber
activities, and be able to come up standards of threats in the cyberworld that may
serve as guidelines for the beneficiary of this study in surfing the Internet.

In the process of the study, a survey questionnaire was formulated to

answer the stated problems as what the objectives of the study were aiming to
achieve and was validated by the panel of validators as well. The survey
questionnaire was able to identify the risky behaviors of the students in the
cyberworld, awareness of the students with the identified forms of cyber threats
and assess of Internet users – students to cyber threats and in the state of
international cybercrime law issues.

After the survey questionnaires were distributed properly to the

respondents – four year IC students, tabulated, and interpreted the data
gathered, the results shown that there were eight risky behaviors out of eleven
identified are moderately practiced by the students and hence it exposed the
students to different menace in the cyberworld. There were seven identified
forms of threats in the cyberworld that are nimble to encounter by the students
since they are highly aware with those threats.
