3. Copy the crack in the game directory and overwritte.

You need to INSTALL and RUN the game in Windows XP Compatibility Mode and with A
dministrator rights if you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8.
--=Sound Issues=-If you experience missing sound effects do the following:
Press and hold the Windows button + R or go to Start > Run... > and type in RegE

Go to HK_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Surreal > Riot Engine and delete SettingsDX1

Once you do that, run The Suffering again and the box that pops up when you firs
t run it that asks you to config will come up. Reconfig your video however you h
ad it. Then under the audio tab, uncheck the box next to Use 3D Sound Buffers. T
hat's what worked for me.
If that doesn't work for you, you can try to configure it differently.

Known Issues:
If your video card has 32MB or less, we recommend you run the game in 800X600 mo
de. Although your monitor may be able to support higher modes and are available
to be choosen, you may experience graphical issues.
Lower end Radeon cards 7000, 7200 may experience washed out or compressed textur
es. This may be fixed in a game patch or a new driver release from ATI.
3D Sound Buffers - If your audio card does not support 3D sound buffers, you may
experience Sfx dropouts if you have enabled 3D sound buffers.
