OBJECTIVE:

Seeking an internship in electrical engineering focusing in radio frequency (RF).

EDUCATION:

Virginia Tech, Class of 2018

Major: Electrical Engineering
Cumulative GPA: 3.71

CAPABILITIES

RF Parametric measurements using Network and Spectrum Analyzers:

Two Tone Intermodulation, Gain, Noise Figure, VSWR, S parameters
GNU Radio, Python, C++, LabView, Matlab, MultiSim/LTspice, CAD. [Novice level]

EXPERIENCE

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab: [Summer 2015]; Summer Intern

Assisted with two projects: Analyzed RF parameters, specifically Noise Figure, for a front end
board and worked with GNU Radio to test sensors.
Hume Center at Virginia Tech: [2015-present]; Undergraduate Intern
Aiding in numerous engineering and RF specific tasks. Main project included analyzing an RF front
end and researching parts for the power distribution portion.
G3 Technologies Inc.: [Summers 2011-14]; Summer Intern
Numerous Engineering production support tasks, including electronic assembly, electronic test, stock
count, coding, and technical writing. Gained understanding of engineering design process.
Intern/Mentorship GT [2013-14]: Novel Technique for Diversity
Provided engineering support for side research on a new diversity technique. Completed proof
of concept of wireless connection to equipment.
Intern/Mentorship GT [2012-13]: Signal Processing Optimization
Engineering Support for a GSM Cellular Fraud Detection System, specifically the
receiver portion. Performed tests to ensure signal optimization of the unit.
Science Fair: [2010-2011], Technique for Determining the Epicenter of an Earthquake
Used Interferometry Techniques to reduce the number of independent sensors used to determine
the epicenter of an earthquake.
Science Fair Research: [2011-12], Photo-optics Transmission for Audio Signals.
Experiment was set up to use light to transfer data from an electric guitar to an amplifier for proof of
concept. The quality of the signal would be examined for each modulation type.
Revelation Doves: June [2008] October [2011], Assistant
Responsibilities included: caring, feeding of doves, flight training, dove releasing at events
(including Relay for Life), and answered questions for attendees. Gained early work and
presentation experience.
