Spain.ThissentwavesofJewishrefugeesthroughoutEurope,spreading
knowledgeofHebrewandoftheKabbalah.

Renaissancephilosopherssoughttointegratethesetraditionswiththeview
ofunifyingtherapidlydisintegratingreligiousfactionsandalsoendingthe
constantpoliticalstrife.Thustheyaretheforerunnersorprophetsofthe
RosicrucianandIlluminatimovements.
