Computer Web Design


This course trains students for entry-level employment in a variety of web design occupations. The course incorporates
on-the-job training for students in paid and unpaid positions. Students learn web design core topics including computer,
graphic design, communication design and web design terminology while completing web design training in basic HTML,
graphic programs, HTML editor programs, and creating and designing web sites. Students will learn about the career
ladder in the web design field and have the opportunity to network with experts in the field.

Professional Actors Workshop


This course trains students in the fundamentals of acting including stage, film, television, and commercials. Students gain
hands-on experience by performing in front of an audience at local community theatres and/or other professional
performing arts venues. Students learn the practical, theoretical and technical aspects of acting as well as develop
strategies for marketing their talents and successfully navigating their career. Training includes in-depth character work in
scene study, script writing and analysis, cold reading techniques, monologue work, improvisation, and voice over.

Stagecraft Technology
This course trains students to conceptualize and design artistic interpretations and create functional scenery, properties,
lighting and sound for events and informal or formal theatrical productions. Students gain hands-on experience by
demonstrating their skills in front of an audience at local school and/or community events. Students learn the basic
physical properties in the technical aspects of theatre such as light, color, electricity, and sound. They also safely
construct sets and effectively operate a variety of production equipment. Students also effectively design and operate
lighting, sound and rigging related to production goals.

CTE classes are free to high school students. We are currently offering CTE classes for freshman,
sophomores, juniors, & seniors. Upon successful completion of the class, student may earn 5 ELECTIVE
credits which may be used to meet graduation requirements.
