Proficiency Description for the Four Skills


READING:
Students show good understanding of a variety of authentic reading material from the target cultures.
They show an ability to summarize and comment a paragraph of independent reading.
They can consult certain reference sources as appropriate. They cope readily with unfamiliar topics.

SPEAKING:

Students speak rather fluently and freely with good pronunciation and intonation.
They use a wide range of language in discussing about factual and non-factual material, developing an argument and giving reas
Their language is largely accurate with few mistakes of any significance.

LISTENING:

Students show good understanding of spoken accounts of contemporary culture and society of the target language concerning
They summarize and report on a range of concrete and abstract subjects.

WRITING:

THE AIMS:
The English program for class 12 aims at:
Making students independent and able to do research in their field of interest
Teaching students complex reading, listening and writing techniques
Developing the critical thinking skills
Enabling students face the European standard tests

THE OBJECTIVES:

The English language program for class 12 has as its main objectives:
To develop the analytic and synthetic language skills in students making them able to skim and scan broader information conne
To enable students managing life situations easily by using the language correctly
To create in students the ability to compare and contrast different cultures
To encourage students use their critical reading and thinking skills

The students are able to analyze and think critically in different situations by using a complex language skillfully.
