Artifact analysis

For my project I chose a woman who coordinates a local nonprofit,

Alternatives to Violence program (AVP) that does workshops in prisons
and the community. I have been a participant and now a trained
facilitator, so I am not only familiar with the program and its mission
but also have a relationship with the . Since I too work for a local
nonprofit that does prison workshops I felt that this would be a good
project because I could learn a lot about what I need to do to support
my writing style when it comes to promotion and fundraising.
The articles I have gathered are a grant proposal, website, job
announcement, and an informational flyer.
With all the articles quotes from participants, volunteers and prison
staff were used.
AVP website:
Easy to navigate, Simple, not flashy. Only black for words, blue links.

Bold print for each section, and in other parts to make keywords stand
out.

prison wardens, especially powerful. Statistics, total volunteers hours,

AVP Job announcement flyer:
This is different than the other articles in that it has no quotes. Memo
format with name, address, web address and phone number in bold big
lettering at the top. AVP logo top left (large) First paragraph all in bold
print. The body of the flyer is plain text. In large bold print at bottom
half of flyer - AVP facts & Details of Outreach Program.
Palabra Flyer:
Flyer is 2 pages or could be front and back. Aztec designs on bottom of
page with a definition underneath of what Palabra means. Text box left
center with Research in bold. This box is shadowed.
Top of page in bold 5 ways The first page in #1, with the other 4 on
the 2nd page. Each in bolt with one word in bold next to it. There is a
small symbols or design next to each number. . Statistics are used,
