Abstract
Motivation/ problems: Interactivity has been trended as one effective method in
attracting and retaining students in studying online in Australia universities.
Charles Darwin University is a regional university that delivers approximately 98
% of its courses in higher education using Learning Management System (LMS)
Software. Learning management is central to learn and experience at Charles
Darwin University, but how can these experiences be learning made more
interesting engaging for students. This project aim to design and build an
interactive eLearning object repository with appropriate usability, efficient,
satisfying, and user-friendly experience. Those tools will be hosted on CDU
Blackboard for lecturers create online lessons and support students
collaborative learning experiences and collective meaning-making.
Method: A user centred development methodology will be used to build the
software. Central to this process is user central research so a range of qualitative
research has been conducted in lecturers and students with face-to-face
interviews, diary and journal exercises; by telephone, via videoconferencing or
via the Internet to determine software and requirements. In addition, the
research also learn from the software Articulate Storyline to create a software.
