To whom it may concern,
Since a young age I have had an inventive and courageous personality; I have always looked for the
biggest mountains to climb, the thickest books to read, and the most arduous and mentally puzzling
feats I could lay hands on. Now that I am older I realize that these are attributes of a great leader. My
greatest desire is to be an inventive and courageous leader in the classroom. I am reaching out to you
for a chance to work hands on with a High School science teacher to achieve my lifelong goal of helping
to educate the up-and-coming generations.
I have spent many hours with my nose in books and even more time working long nights in the
laboratory to get the best grasp on science and education, but that will never be the same as interacting
with a great teacher working hands on with students. If I am given the opportunity to work alongside a
teacher in your high school classroom, I am confident I will gain the skill set to become the best teacher
I can be.
I have spent extensive time working with troubled youth on improving their academic skills. Working
with sexually abused students and juvenile delinquents gives me a competitive edge to my peers
because I have worked hands on with both the academic as well as the disciplinary end of teaching. I
have experienced the extremes of the overtly sensitive and the unabashedly defiant, but I would like the
chance to work in a high school setting with the entire range of students. I am eager to gain these skills
while working with and learning from and educator at your school.
It is my personal goal to one day inspire students to crave knowledge just as my best teachers have done
to me. By attending your institution I believe I will be gain the necessary tools to be the best teacher I
can be.
Thank you for your time & consideration.
Sincerely,
Anadia P. Rockey
