Subject MATERIALS FOR PALESTINE, INC.

I thought you would be interested in this comment which I received in a recent
letter from a person interested in making a donation to the SOS Collection of
spectaole lenses.
"I have just learned about an SOS committee being formed for the procurement of
goods of certain types for the relief of Jews in Europe and Palestine. Heretofore,
I have been sending quantities of merchandise that I have purchased from the W.A.A.
administration (medioal supplies) to the Materials for Palestine, Inc. It seems
that inefficiency on their part has caused me to stop sending merchandise to them.
I would send them lots of merchandise that they would need badly, and upon arrival
would remain in their warehouse until I would get word that my promises to deliver
this merchandise had been unfulfilled.

I have the following item that I wish for you to check on and see if you have a
need for. If you do, please let me know and I will have it arranged for you to
receive this merchandise, located in my warehouse in Lima, Ohio.1*
