VARIATIONS
The Contractor shall not alter any of the Wo
rks, except as directed in writing by the Ow
ner, but the Owner will have full power from
time to time during the execution of the Co
ntract by notice in writing to direct the Cont
ractor to alter, amend, omit, add to, or othe
rwise vary any of the Works and the Contrac
tor shall carry out such variations and be bo
und by the same conditions, so far as applic
able, as though the said variations were stat
ed in the Contract.

 The Contractor shall carry out minor variations t

hat do not significantly affect the scope of Work
or are otherwise defined in the Specification, wit
hout any change to the Contract Price. In any c
ase in which the Contractor has received any su
ch direction from the Owner which either then o
r later will, in the opinion of the Contractor, invo
lve an increase or decrease in the Contract Pric
e, the Contractor shall within fourteen (14) day
s, advise the details of work involved and chang
es to the Contract Price to the Owner in writing
to that effect.

 The difference in cost to the Owner, if a

ny, occasioned by any such variations sh
all be added to or deducted from the Co
ntract Price as the case may require.
The amount of such difference shall be
ascertained and mutually agreed to by n
egotiations between the Owner and the
Contractor.
