GEORGIA
There are so many countries I could have chosen to research; however, I have always
been interested in visiting Georgia. Georgia is a very interested place to go from what I seen and
heard. They say you can do a lot of fun things down there like Disney World one of my favorite
places to go.

GOVERNMENT
Georgia, the thirteenth British colony to be created, was chartered by King George in
1732 and put under the governance of twenty one trustees. The trustees adopted the Latin
motto Non sibi sed allis as they crafted rules and regulations to shape the colony into a
utopia where here would be no social classes and colonists would succeed by their own
efforts and hard work.

LOCATION
Georgia is located in the Southern United States, bordered by Tennessee and
North Carolina to the north, South Carolina to northeast, Florida to the south, and
Alabama to the west.
TOURISM-what can visitors do if they visit this country?
There are a lot of things that you can do in Georgia. Atlanta offers tons of fun for
families, business professionals and everyone in between. There are so many things to do like
family friendly attractions and history, to outdoor-adventures.

FAMOUS LANDMARKS

The Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum is one of the famous
landmarks. The paining that makes up the cyclorama is the largest oil painting in
the world.
FLAGGeorgia flag is a new state flag in 2003, based on the national flag of the
confederacy. Georgias flag has here bars of equal width- two outer red bars and a
white bar in the center.
POPULATION
The state added 1.5 million people over the past decade or a total of
9,868,653, according t new census data. Georgia is just a major magnet or African
Americans, both high-skilled.
LANGUAGE
Georgia is the primary language of about 3.9 million people in Georgia itself
and of another 500,000 abroad.
CULTURE (style of dress/religion)
Georgians take pride in their traditions and national customs, and they
expect their guests to follow them. When you are meeting a Georgian for the first
time and want to make a good impression, knowledge of Georgian politics will be
very helpful.
FOOD

Georgia's cuisine includes a variety of different foods ranging from seafood,


corn on the cob and chicken and dumplings to Brunswick stew, fried chicken and
cornbread. They have some really good food down there.
FAMOUS PEOPLE
Georgia has been home to many famous people, from founder James
Oglethorpe to former President Jimmy Carter; from the first black cadet to
graduate from West Point - Henry O. Flipper - to civil rights pioneer Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr.
