My liking on the content of presentation: 13 (on 0 to 15 scales)
Summary of Presentation:
He started the presentation by describing the advantages of using biomass based
fuel. Three types of thermochemical conversion are available for conversion of
biomass. These are pyrolysis, gasification and combustion. Dr. Ajay gave detail
information about the gasification of biomass and the intermediate products from
gasification. The BAE dept. has made a gasification unit for conversion. He gave
detail of operating condition of this gasification unit. He described the properties of
intermediate product-syngas and its potential to make high quality biofuel.
What I did not like:
This was an interesting and enlighting seminar. Actually we did not have much
background knowledge of the chemistry of gasification process. If he gave a basic
idea of that, I think the seminar would have been more clear to us.
