Study Guide for your 20 point quiz on pronouns and ser.
Your quiz will have 10 blanks to
fill in, and each blank will be worth two points. The quiz will be on Monday, Oct 26th. To ensure that you spell your words correctly, I will provide word banks in alphabetical order for you. A good way to practice for this test is to use the Quizlet links I have provided on my website under the tab website links. For the first section, there will be 5 sentences with the Subject Pronoun blank, and you will have to determine the right pronoun to use from the word bank. For this section, 1-3 answers may be correct, and you just need to choose one of them that makes sense. Examples: ______ es de Mxico. This could have 3 possible answers: l, Ella, o Usted. You just need one of them. ______ es alto. This one only has 2 possible answers: (You could say l o Usted, but you couldnt say Ella because the adjective alto describes a boy. If the adjective was alta, you could say Ella but not l.) --notice that I capitalized all the answers as they are starting the sentence. ____ soy alto. This one only has 1 possible answer (Yo). (If the verb is soy or eres there is only one possible answer: Yo soy. Or T eres. ) A good Quizlet set to practice this is called Match the Pronoun to the rest of the sentence. Scatter and the test would be helpful for studying. You probably want to make sure that for the test you start with the definitions. You can find it on my website or type in this address: https://quizlet.com/98071377/match-the-pronoun-to-the-rest-ofthe-sentence-flash-cards/ For the second section, there will be 5 sentences with the verb blank, and you will have to determine the right verb based on the subject. These questions will only have one possible answer. A helpful Quizlet set to practice this is called ser pronoun to conjugation match. If you do the race, you want to make sure you set it to show the term. If you set it to show the definition, you could practice for the first section of the test, identifying the pronoun or set of pronouns to use but youd need to type a lot more. You can find it on my website or type in this address: https://quizlet.com/97651328/ser-pronoun-to-conjugation-match-present-tense-flashcards/ It would be a good idea to use my other verb and pronoun practice sets on Quizlet as well. They are found using the websites links tab from my website. Additionally, if you want to study without technology, you could look over sentences we have written in class with ser, and cover up the subject or the verb to quiz yourself. Additionally, you could make up sets of sentences using the different pronouns and the verbs to match, making sure that your adjectives agree in number and gender with your pronoun. Example: Ellas son simpticas. (simpticas agrees in number and gender with ellas as they are both plural and feminine.) These are the word banks that I will have on the quiz. The pronouns are all capitalized in the word bank as all of them are the beginning of the sentence for the first section. You could use these to practice as well by picking a word from the first box and figuring out which verb to use and then adding an ending that makes sense. Word bank in alphabetical order: Word bank in alphabetical l, Ella, Ellas, Ellos, Nosotras, Nosotros, T, Usted, Ustedes, Vosotras, Vosotros, Yo
