Field Study 2 gives us, the FS students, the opportunity to experience the teaching-learning process in the

classroom. Taking this course enable us to observe the application of principles of teaching and learning in actual
classroom teaching. We observe how our cooperating teacher develops her lesson in every domain with the use of
teaching methods and activities to attain the anticipated learning outcomes.
With this, we observe classrooms to identify the practices thats been apply or violated by the teacher. We
learned here the different principles that should always be remembered and apply in making lessons and class
discussions. In every lesson, as much as possible, teacher should make learning objectives that were SMART and
under the three domains of knowledge. We also learned about the Blooms Taxonomy and Kendalls and Marzanos
new taxonomy.
With this study as we observed our resource teacher we get some technique and approach for an effective
learning. We also identify the teaching method that she uses if it is deductive or inductive. Selecting an approach and
teaching strategies has guiding principles that should be following in order for it to be effective. Also the teacher
should also know the art of questioning that will help students to come up with the right answer. Teacher should also
know the reacting techniques that will motivate students to answer more. If teachers know both of this, they can
guarantee that interaction will be present during discussion.
Overall, Field study 2 is a way of helping the FS students be aware of the practices they should apply inside
the classroom. We are now in the new curriculum, the K12 in which it as much as possible, students were the one
who always discover their learnings. Gone was the traditional teacher-centered approach, teacher will be the one
who will guide his/her students to discover meanings and for that to happen, teachers should know the right approach
and stratefy he/she will use about a certain topic.
