FS1, FS2

On our Observation course, as a student teacher we are tasked to

observed the teaching learning process which includes FS1(The Learners
Development and Environment), FS2(Experiencing the Teaching Learning Process),
FS3(Technology in the Learning Environment). We were grouped into three then every
group chose their cooperating school.
I felt animated about our deployment on the 16 th day of July, 2015 in
Timbugan National High School. When we entered in the school, we greeted the
students and also the teachers that we had encountered. So by the help of Sir Jeffrey
S. Delen, we were introduced in our cooperating school and of course to the courteous
principal of the school Ms. Rowena D. Masilang. My first impression to the school was
alright because Im interested about it and the students were hospitable and respectful.
For some minutes around, Im so overwhelmed because I didnt expect that the
students would treat us as the same they treated their teachers in the school.
The 20 th day of July was the day of our first observation and I felt really
nervous. I arrived in the school at 6:45 a.m. I knew that Im already late but thanks God I
came there safe and sound. The flag ceremony started at 7:00 a.m. which last for ten
minutes. After that the principal assist us about our cooperating teachers. She oriented
us of how many are the teachers who have their specific majors and to whom are we
going to be assigned.
The school have facilities like Office of the principal which is near the
gate and very easy to find if there would be an urgent situation; Library is also near with
the gate which is useful and reliable for the students assignments and projects;
Counseling room is near with the library which have the guidance counselor that helps
the students to facilitate their own problems; Canteen; Gymnasium; Garden; Industrial

workshop Area; and Comfort rooms for boys and girls. Overall it all contributes to the
students learning and development because it affects the teaching learning process.

Alternatively, classroom facilities first have the wall displays like one
of the time tested principles of learning which is Learning is an active process what I
hear, I forget; what I see, I remember; what I do, I understand; Dos and donts for
example is turn off unnecessary lights when not in use ; Guidance corner which have
quotations like honesty is the best policy and Integrity is doing the right thing even if
nobody is watching; also there is a representation of Jesus Christ at the top of the
board and Mother Marys representation at the front side of the classroom; Birthday list
of the students and their adviser, list of the class officers and PTCA officers; and the
Bulletin board is where can be seen their best outputs like poem, poster, essay, etc.
The second classroom facility is Teachers table; it is well organized
because the stuffs on it are properly arranged. Third is the Learners desk which is fixed
and where they can put on their notes, books and other stuff. Fourth is the Blackboard
where the absentees were written and other important announcement. Lastly, the
Learning materials o visual aids like power point presentations and traditional visual
aids like manila paper, bond paper, colored paper, etc.
The school campus and the classroom impact the learning of the
students going to school, if they have the assurance that they are safe, their class would
not be boring and they can do their tasks by the help of the school facilities.
Generally, the applied principles of learning was Learning is an
active process because the teacher discussed the lesson briefly with the use of power
point presentation and the students responds to her and they have feedback with each
other.
