(Experiencing the Teaching- Learning Process), Field Study 3 (Technology in the
Learning Environment) are part of the program offered by Bachelor of Science in
Secondary Education for third year students. Field study courses are outcome- based
coarse designed to give students significant opportunities to observe and analyze the
characteristics and behaviours of learners in an actual learning environment. It is
designed to provide field study students with opportunities to experience the teachinglearning process in the classroom. It is also designed to enrich the students
experiences in developing and utilizing technology to facilitate learning. In those
subjects, every field study students are required to choose one public secondary
schools to conduct observation.
The field study was started last July 21, 2015. Night before that day, I felt
nervousness. Different questions were suddenly came to my mind. What will be the
impressions of teachers as well as students to me? Will they approach me in a good
way? What if they wouldnt like me? What if? What if? What if? Kring! Kring! Kring! Ohh!
It was already 5 oclock in the morning. I started to get up and prepare myself.
WELCOME TO BUKAL NATIONAL HIGHSCHOOL. As I read those words, I
felt nervousness again. As I passed by, I noticed the eyes of the students, looking at
me, wondering, and maybe asking themselves, who is she?
Mrs. Anicia R. Indicio, the school principal, welcomed us, together with my FS
Buddy, Mr. Kenneth R. Roxas and present us to the TLE Teachers. Mrs. Yolanda E.
Javier, the school canteen manager, became my coordinating teacher. Since Mrs. Javier
is the canteen manager, we stayed on the school canteen and we decided to help her
doing his canteen chores. We are also requested to sell. Those funny moments, Maam
pabili po ako nito, tsaka po nito, at ito pa, Magkano po ito?, Ito po ang bayad! It is

truly irritating and I found it so tiring, but I enjoy it very much. After that, we conducted
observation of classes in Grade Eight Section II Rose and Grade Eight Section I
Sampaguita. In Grade Eight Section II Rose, students seem to have their own world
while Mrs. Javier conducting teaching. Some were playing, some were laughing and
most of them were busy talking with their seatmates. Mrs. Javier never stop reminding
the class to be in silence and understand her lesson. Maybe, it is true that every
students have their own perceptions on how to make learning more successful. In
Grade Eight Section I Sampaguita, on the other hand, is the first section. As expected, I
observed their willingness to learn new things from their teacher. As Mrs. Javier were
teaching about the parts of the sewing machine and how to use it, all of them initiated to
go in front to watch. Their desire to discover new learnings is seemingly observable.

Hands- on Activity

On the second day, we attended flag ceremony with the weekly Novena. We are
assigned to facilitate the visual presentation. Afterwards, we proceeded to the canteen
and helped again my coordinating teacher. I, together with my FS Buddy, decided to
conduct familiarization of the school facilities present in the campus. While doing these,
the school was then conducted a surprise earthquake drill. Students as well as teachers
participated on the said activity.

My
first

and second day in Bukal National High School is not easy. In fact, it was too tiring. But
whenever I remember how students greet me, Goodmorning Maam! with a smile, I
realize that all of my efforts are worth it. Special thanks to Bukal National High School
for letting me conduct the said activity.

I, together with my coordinating teacher, Mrs. Yolanda E. Javier, my FS
