Eleutherococus senticosus

Eleutherococus senticosus
I grow when the sun touches me.
A breathing duet,
we count each pulse
to continue the day
with air that ascends
sits
and then walks
lifting the notes
feeding each cell
of this body that blesses
its fresh fruit gasp
every morning.
Like the iguana
I jump
clinging to despair
recognizing in this fall
the scent of freedom.
