Tujuan
To investigate the relationship between the current and the strength of an electromagnet.

1. 50 turns of insulated copper wire are wound onto the soft-iron core and arranged as shown in
Diagram 2.
50 lilitan dawai kuprum berpenebat dililitkan pada teras besi lembut dan disusun seperti
ditunjukkan dalam Rajah 2.

2. A d.c. power supply is switched on and the switch is closed. The rheostat is adjusted until the
current, I = 0.5 A.
Bekalan kuasa a.t. dipasangkan dan suis dihidupkan.Reostat diselaraskan sehingga arus I = 0.5 A.
3. The Petri dish containing the steel pins is touching to the lower end of the electromagnet.The
number of pins attracted to the soft-iron core is counted as N.
Piring Petri yang mengandungi jarum peniti diangkatkan bersentuhan hujung bawah elektromagnet
itu. Bilangan jarum peniti yang tertarik kepada teras besi lembut dihitungkan sebagai N.
4. Repeat the experiment by using I = 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 A.
Ulangi dengan menggunakan I = 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, dan 2.5A.
