Cornea Help e.V. Communication Consulting

Cornea Help e.V. is an association on voluntary basis, enabling corneal transplants in developing
countries. Here, I was doing an internship, advising on the offline- and online-presence:
creating, editing and translating texts; creating a corporate image and strategy; contributing to
communicate involvement-encouragement; and helping on social media and building a web
presence.
Human Library Groningen
The Human Library is an innovative method which promotes dialogue, understanding and
respect within society by simulating a library with real people based on prejudices. I was part of
the Marketing-team, independently and in teams creating a strategy and designing posters,
folders, information booklets, and a website.
Hanze Honours College SCMI Honours Talent Programme
As one of the elected Honours students in my programme I am given the opportunity to join
interdisciplinary courses, initiate projects, manage events with and for the community, and
participate in current affairs debates.
Life At Night: The Lucid Dreaming Workshop
My partner and I organized a workshop on lucid dreaming, creating the opportunity for people
to enhance their lives by learning to control their dreams. The Lucid Dreaming Workshop was
based on interactive learning in stages, involving research, creative planning and organizing,
promoting, and implementing the workshop.
Voluntary work at Freibad Riepe
The voluntary work at a local public swimming pool helped me gain experiences in networking
and local marketing, and made clear the importance of willpower.
Management Information Game
The game challenged groups to create a business idea, and to present it in front of local
business people. Meanwhile, it provided insight into corporate communications, economics,
governance, marketing and management.
Seminar on Communications and Forensics
The participants dealt with their strengths and weaknesses, and learned how to communicate
in front of small as well as bigger audiences, how to present their points of views best, and how
to have efficient discussions.
International Youth Meeting (Youth Exchange)
A meeting with workshops for students from around the world to gain intercultural experiences
and become culturally aware.
