add -es

Common Core Standard: L.3.2e: Use conventional spelling for high-frequency and other studied
words and for adding suffixes to base words (e.g., sitting, smiled, cried, happiness).
L.3.2f: Use spelling patterns and generalizations (e.g., word families, position-based spelling,
syllable patterns, ending rules, meaningful word parts) in writing words.
ELD Standard: 1. Exchanging information and ideas
Contribute to class, group, and partner discussions by listening attentively, following turntaking
rules, and asking and answering questions.
Common Core Lesson Objective: All students will be able to form plural nouns if the word ends
in the letter y after a consonant or after a vowel.
