Human right in North Korea
The most basic human that everyone must have are freedom of information, freedom of
movement and freedom speech. But in north Korea, many human right violated because of their
dictator . his name is Kim Jong Un. Kim jong Un is the Dictator of North Korea Since 2011. He
replaced Kim Jong Il. Many in north Korea resist Kim Jong Il, But Kim Jong Il will arrest,
Torture kill the one that resist him. Also in his Dictatorship, many girls in Jail got raped and
guard attack woman prisoners frequently, meanwhile in the city of north Korea, many woman
got kidnapped and found dead or pregnant. Prisoners never treated the way they suppose to
treated. Its all because of Kim Jong Un messy dictatorship, someone should replace him or
maybe north wont be able to survive next 50 years(Jared Grusd).
Kim Jong Un denied the basic human right which is Right of free speech, free movement,
and information freedom( Hannah Song ). Kim Jong Un Denied those human right because he
doesnt want his people become smart, he gave information that he wanted to give, then he
denied freedom of speech so no one can do a speech to resist Kim Jong Un. He wanted no one to
resist him, but if no one are smarter in his country, it might cause North Korea economic
condition worse because they dont have enough knowledge to do trade more efficiently which
cause North Korea GDP decreased instead of increase. If the civilian are more smarter than now,
maybe theres many people that do

Kim Jong Un also use a collective punishment ( punishment that given to a group if
someone in their group did something wrong) and 3 generation punishment so no one want to
resist do a resistance to Kim Jong Un( Hannah Song ) because they know that their group or their
family will be punished. Kim Jong Un also use Public execution and torture to make people fear
to do a resistance.
Those who arrested because of violating North Korea law mostly will be killed but
theres some people that will not be executed but many people think that execution are better
than live in the prison. Prisoner always starving because guard feed them a very small portion,
they got beaten frequently, girls got raped and many Human Right Violation. Usually babies
from a pregnant woman in the prison dead before birth but the case is different for Jee Heon. Jee
heons babies didnt died, the baby survive. When she give birth, she was very happy but then a
guard hear the baby crying. A guard bring a bowl of water, usually baby washed after born but
the guard said to put the babies upside down in the bowl. She begging the guards to spare the
babies, but she got beaten( Sky News ). finally she did it. Its the example that people in the
prison never was never treated well.
On the Other Side, Those who being sentenced to death usually tried to escape. Many of
them usually never planning to escape because they know if they escape, they will found them
and they will give us a worse punishment, worse than death. Once, a guard saw someone escape
to a direction and block the perimeter. After he got caught, they bring him back by dragging him
behind the truck. Those who got executed will be tied to a wooden column and got shot in the
head. Other prisoner forced to grab a rock and throw the rocks to the dead bodies many closed
eyes or lowering head( Kenneth Roth ).

North Korea other problem is a labor problem. North Korea do a force labor because
they lack of labor. Local government will send people to those who unemployed or those who
sell noncontroversial goods. For these who have enough money to bribe the guard, they will not
go for a force labor but for those who doesnt have enough money to bribe will be taken for a
force labor. Those people who cant pay will be forced to do hard work, very little food and they
got beaten frequently because of their work performance( Kenneth Roth).
Beside the unemployment problem, theres a problem that employee have. North Korea
never join ILO ( International Labor Organization) because worker at Korea never actually
receive their salary themselves( Kenneth Roth ). Government give the salary to the person in
charge of the company. No wonder why they always receive less salary that they should have
because the leader took some of their money. This problem even make North Korea people never
actually have a passion to their jobs because they know they wont be pay 100% of their salary
no matter what. It cause the quality of their product isnt as good as they expected and it cause
the income of the country decreased if it sold to the other countries.
Almost everything North Korea under Kim Jong Un leadership is so wrong. Everyone
should have a right, unemployment, Civilian, labor even prisoner. Almost all human right are
violated under his leadership. Kim Jong Un must be replaced or the civilian in North Korea
suffering more. The one that will replace Kim Jong Un maybe should not from Kim Jong Un
family, leadership from their family always make the civilian suffer. The next president must be
from someone that felt the torture from the Kim Jong Un dictatorship so the leader know what
should he/she change first to make North Korea better than now.
