1. Why is revelation necessarily Gods initiative


Revelation is necessarily Gods initiative because it a fundamental belief in Christianity that
God will show himself to human beings
2. How do you define revelation
Revelation is when you reveal something surprising to someone. In Christianity Disclosure,
an uncovering, the unveiling of something hidden, so that it may be seen and known for what it
is.
3. What is the role of revelation in the salvation of humanity?
The role of revelation in the salvation of humanity is revelation is the time when god will reveal
himself to us, hence once we see him, we will either go to heaven which is more likely, or we
will go to hell.
4. How are the terms revelation and Word of God synonymous?
The terms revelation and word of God is synonymous because the word of God could
mean The Bible, which is the tool where we learn the life of God.
5. What are the different means by which God communicate with humanity
The different means are General and Special Revelation, and the Public and Private Revelation.
6. What is the difference between general revelation and special revelation?
General revelation sometimes called natural revelation refers to how God makes himself
known to us through the created world. Special Revelation. Since the created world cant tell the
story of God, Special revelation was created, which is the bible.
7. How would you distinguish pubic revelation from private revelation
Public revelation is the disclosure of Gods self and His saving plan for all of humanity.
Private revelations refer to the Church- recognized messages from apparitions or mythical
experiences of some privileged men and women.

8. Why is it that only public revelation is rightfully called Divine Revation?


It is called the Divine Revelation because Jesus is already the fullness of Gods revelation,
and nothing more can be added to the revelation of Jesus.
9. What is the role of the Church in the preservation and transmission of revelation
The church is tasked to hand the divine revelation to every generation. The church preserves
the teachings of Jesus through her vibrant community life, moral rectitude, celebration of the
liturgy, and constant forming a book we now call the Bible or Sacred Scriptures. The church
transmits the revelation by giving meaning and expression to the written word.
10. How are the Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition related to each other
They are related because both of them are thought in the Dei Verbum
