Screening is a critical compliance toola very important element in any truly
comprehensive and viable trade compliance program. Screening is intended
to prevent doing business with debarred, denied, prohibited, proscribed,
restricted and sanctioned entitiesincluding companies, countries, individuals
and organizations in the United States and around the world. Adequate due
diligence when it comes to screening means checking all the appropriate
lists to determine if an entity appears on one or more of them and then taking
appropriate action to ensure you are not transacting business with them.
Theres a great deal more to screening than many realize. Based on a recent
estimate there are now more than 400 lists globally. Doing business with an
entity on one of these lists has resulted and may result in a fine and penalties
to include a long list of mandated corrective actions and US government
oversight. This 90 minute webinarincluding 30 minutes of Q&Ais focused
on practical application, how to and provides answers to a variety of
important and timely questions. This engaging exchange will provide
important need to know facts along with tools you can use.
