Bathroom and Changing Rooms Policy
In our school we understand the importance to feel
comfortable and safe all the times of the day for this
reason in our school;
We builtgender neutral toilets/ gender neutralcubicles
for students to change after sport activities
While some user groups requiregender separate facilities
(Islamic toilet etiquette),which would be provided,
gender neutral cubicles are mainly used in our school.

Celebrating Diversity Events [1]

44 % of same-sex attracted young people endured verbal abuse.
Significantly, 74 % of this harassment or vilification was
experienced at school
(Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health & Society, La Trobe University, 2007)

For this reason our students in all levels are required to participate in
a range of events throughout the year that celebrate diversity starting
by the first week of each academic year.

What our students have to say:

Since I started at XY School YX, immediately I felt
embraced and as an equal member of the school

safe zone area and she was always keen to listen or
advice me over my grey days.
