The first six verses reveal the mantra of Amtevara Bhairava thus:
OM ju sa amtevara bhairavya nama |
The seventh verse describes the akti of Lord Bhairava. Arising from the
navel of Amtevara Bhairava is the akti trila (trident) on the left prong
of which is stationed Apar Dev. Parpar is stationed on the right prong
and Par on the central prong. Above the central prong, Mahklasakari
Kl is present who is known as Partt Bharik. The seventh verse above
describes mukhya akti of the three [Par] also known as Amtevar.
While the mantras of Amtevara Bhairava, Parpar, Apar and Partt
Bharik are to be received from Sadguru through the process of initiation
or Dk, the votaries of Kashmir Shaivism hold that the mantra of Par, also
known as Dev Hdaya Bja is the only mantra which can be recited without
initiation from the Guru. Of course, this is not accepted in rvidy where
Par Bja requires specific initiation (as detailed in Par Tantra, Paraurma
Kalpastra etc.) from the Guru and one receives this mantra only after
completing puracaraa of several other mantras including Pacada and
Laghu-oa.
