Denver Police Officer of the Year is Honored

 
(Denver, CO – March 23, 2010)

 
The Denver Police Department expects officers to uphold a high standard of excellence, in order
to keep the community safe. Each year there are those officers who stand out above the rest, and
exhibit qualities that cannot go unnoticed. Denver Police Chief Gerald Whitman, Manger of
Safety Alvin LaCabe, and Mayor John Hickenlooper will recognize those individuals for their
exemplary work.

 Lieutenant Ronald Saunier will be recognized as Commander of the Year, Phillip Hernandez as
Sergeant of the Year, Daniel O’Bannon as Detective of the Year, Corporal Karl Roller as
Corporal of the Year, Technician Anthony Guzman as Technician of the Year, and Brian Neven
as Officer of the Year. The award Ceremony will also recognize those officers which will be
receiving Technician appointments, Detective appointments, the Life Saving Award, and the
Medal of Valor.

The media and community are invited to attend the Annual Award Ceremony, which will
be held on Wednesday, March 24th at 1:00 pm, at the Denver Police Training Academy.
