Overview:
Ancient Sparta was a unique Greek city state or puplis that was very military
focused. The also had a governing system of 2 kings and made use of slaves.
Sparta also gave women quite a bit of freedom and power compared to
Athenian counterparts. The following topic will attempt to provide a broad
overview of the ancient city, dispel myths created by the 2006 film and offer
insights into the finer points of their culture.
